The team's activity focuses on the molecular aspects of defense and communication mechanisms as well as adaptive processes in prokaryotes in different environmental contexts.
We use a multidisciplinary approach, principally based on biochemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, and “-omics” methodologies.
Our current team projects fall into three different axes:
- Interactions within microbial communities mediated by antimicrobial peptides
- interactions between microorganisms and marine organisms
- adaptations to metal-rich environments
