BIM Biochemistry of Microbial Interactions

CCE Cyanobacteria, Cyanotoxins and Environment

The team's activity focuses on the molecular aspects of defense and communication mechanisms as well as adaptive processes in prokaryotes in different environmental contexts.

We use a multidisciplinary approach, principally based on biochemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, and “-omics” methodologies.

Our current team projects fall into three different axes:

Interactions within microbial communities mediated by antimicrobial peptides
interactions between microorganisms and marine organisms
adaptations to metal-rich environments
