Pollutions and epidemies of all sorts are discovered by scientists at a brisk wall. Non-natural new chemical agents, also called xenobiotics, are highlighted across different populations in the world. These xenobiotics are involved in some comorbidity patterns and can cause either cancers, functional disruptions and may explain some shortening of the life span.
My PhD subject is related to the study of a European cohort of about 500 persons displaying some significant cardiovascular risk factors (drug intake, diabetes, …) to try to get some unambiguous metabolic biomarkers. Data mining of raw data coming from mass spectrometry fingerprinting of urines will be performed to describe some potential theranostics traits.
PhD training is done at MNHN and Sorbonne Université (previously UPMC) with a PhD grant from IPV (ED 406)
