Milene Aparecida Andrade
Milene Aparecida Andrade has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), with a master's degree (2010) and a PhD (2013) in Agrochemistry from the same university. She realized her postdoctoral studies by the Health Science and Technology program and by the Molecular Pathology program (both at University of Brasilia). Currently she develops her post-doctorate at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (MNHN-Paris), with the theme "Screening of active molecules on target proteases of human pathogens". Milène has experience in the field of chemistry of natural products, with emphasis on chemical characterization and determination of its biological activities, mainly in the search for promising molecules for the treatment of tropical diseases. She has academic-scientific production related to those themes, with a total of 32 scientific articles, 4 chapters of published books, 84 abstracts in annals of congresses and participation in 12 projects (completed and in progress).
